On the first day of the congress, the Get Together Party will be arranged at the
Cinématte
in the old Matte 'quartier' down on the banks of the Aare river. (See pictures
below and to the right). Until present, the crafty inhabitants of the Matte have communicated in a (secret) language of their own,
dubbed Matteänglish, stemming from the old traditions of the boating trade on the river.
You can get there by walking down Bubenbergrain ("Bowäger") - a walkway from Junkerngasse
(in Bern Innenstadt) down to the Matte.
